Living and Learning on Organic Farms (LLOOF) is delighted to announce that Faustine Defossiz of the European Environmental Bureau is coming to Bantry for a project launch.

LLOOF project partners are proud that European Environmental Bureau representative Faustine Defossez will be attending the launch of the Online Learning Guide at Organico in Bantry on Monday 23 May 2016.  This event that will include talks, demonstrations and a delicious, free, organic lunch! To register see below.

Faustine’s talk, entitled Space for Sustainable Farming in EU Policy, will look in some depth at the exisiting obstacles to truly sustainable organic and non-organic farming.

Faustine Defossez’s qualifications are impressive for presenting this to us. With a Master Degree in European Union Law from the University of Lille, France, and a Master Degree in EU Politics from the Institute for Political Sciences in Strasbourg, (‘Science Po’), France, Faustine has worked in the Policy Unit of the European Environmental Bureau in the areas of agricultural bioenergy since 2010. Notably she led the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform campaign from 2010 until 2015.

Before joining the European Environmental Bureau she worked for the European Commission, in the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development, where she was first dealing with the European Food Aid Program for the most deprived and then with the integration of environmental issues into the CAP.

LLOOF has been developed by ten European partner WWOOF organisations with Erasmus+ funding, all working harmoniously across borders with a common mission reflecting the heart of the WWOOF ethic, to develop this new, innovative, online interactive learning guide that will teach adults about organic farming, rural business and cultural exchange on farms. The project is supported wholeheartedly by Lord David Puttnam – please click here [] for his specially made film.
