Mindy Lubber, the president of Ceres, explains why economic prosperity and smart environmental regulation go hand in hand. Ceres is a nonprofit organization founded by a small group if investors in 1989 in response to the Exxon Valdez oil spill. A national coalition of investors, environmental organizations and other public interest group work with companies to address sustainability challenges such as global climate change and water scarcity. www.ceres.org
